Hall of Fame - Ponty player archive

As Pontypridd RFC continues to build for a successful future, it does so on the solid foundations of a proud past, populated with many great players.

A chronicle of that history, in the form of player profiles from years gone by, can be found in the 'Hall of Fame' section of the club website. Work has been on-going to update the section, with over 400 profiles now in place - surely one of the most comprehensive club archives available on-line.

From club founder James Spickett back in 1876 to the most recent batch of aspiring youngsters in 2017, players from across all the intervening decades are listed in the Hall of Fame.

Club icon Bob Penberthy with his record breaking 877 appearances is there, as is rugby league legend Billy Boston who made one solitary appearance. There are many local legends, and some from further afield such as Argentine international Christian Martin or USA international Rob Lumkong who had brief stays at the club but made a lasting impression.

If you have an hour to spare, log in to the Hall of Fame and browse through the content - the history of a great club in the form of its players, the good the bad and the ugly, will unfold before your eyes.

Any former players not yet included, and who can supply their profiles, are welcome to do so by contacting:

There is a warm welcome also for past players in joining the Pontypridd RFC Former Players Association, by contacting Wayne Evans on: 07836697753
